Greene & Greene Style Hall Table

This Greene & Greene style hall table made from solid cherry with wenge accent wood has a hand rubbed tung oil finish. Over all dimensions are 42" wide by 30" high by 18" deep.

Double cloud lift front and side aprons and wenge accent plugs are Greene & Greene inspired.

Special attention to grain and color matching can be seen throughout the piece, especially where the figured breadboard ends contrast the grain of the top.

The breadboard ends have wenge expansion joints that assure the top’s seasonal movements go unnoticed.

This hall table has one centered drawer that measures 22 1/2” wide by 11 1/2 “deep by 3 1/2” high and slides on a rebated ½” thick maple panel supported in slips. This construction gives the drawer a sliding action equal to drawers mounted on ball bearing slides. Two additional notable features are the drawer’s highly figured pull with wenge accents and the front’s through mortise finger joint.

The grain in the double cloud lift front apron flows into and out of the drawer, which hints at the quality of this work.

This matching Greene & Greene style hall mirror incorporates the same architectural elements as the hall table; the cloud lifts and the pyramidal   accent plugs in a constellation pattern. The finish is a hand rubbed tung oil varnish.
